When you turn on the TV, you can get more than news…you can borrow techniques that make you a skilled presenter.
Lean in with a cameo. After one of the anchors finishes their report, another often adds one more point to enhance the story. It creates a conversational feel and good chemistry.
Hold that pause. Anchors often have to switch between stories that stir different emotions. They pause to let the audience absorb the last story and be ready to move on. Thoughtful pauses project confidence.
Be an active listener. When someone else at the desk is talking, they nod, they smile, they pay attention. It makes them look like a team.
Enhance your posture. They stretch themselves up widen arms on the desk and keep a level chin. Own the "stage".
Dress for success. Be fashionable, tailor your jacket and shine your shoes.Who notices? Everyone!
