The selection panel starts to assess your team the moment you enter the room. Is there a level of excitement? Are you working together to set up? Are you headed over to say hello? Use the numbers below to your advantage.

  • 51% of the impression is from visual components. Eye contact, posture, energy and if you seem confident. Selection panels respond to personal eye contact.

  • 41% comes from your voice. Nervous? Hesitant? Hard to hear? Relaxed? Energetic? The goal is to sound confident and in charge.

  • 8% comes from content…sad but true. We need our best talent in the interview to showcase ideas, but there’s no WOW without the elements at the top.

  • 3 – The number of times you can repeat key points so that it sinks in. Repeat but don’t use any dummy phrases!!
