The more you rehearse, the more you will seem like a natural presenter.

The speakers who make it look easy, have put in a lot of time rehearsing with their tablet and their phone. Watching yourself on video gives you great insight into what you do well and where you can improve. If you’re pressed for time, practice different parts of your presentation each time to improve content and delivery.

  1. Rehearse the opening and close twice as often. Focus on personal eye contact, energetic delivery and massaging your points into a great story.

  2. Walk through each slide and ask yourself, “what is my main point and what benefit can I highlight?” Ensure that you have a benefit to offer each panel member.

  3. Mark transitions in your notes and rehearse them out loud. Use them review what you said and preview next points and show personal enthusiasm/excitement for the project.
